I was particularly excited about watching these blue-cat-like aliens called "Na'vi" prance about the screen and give the humans a big fat dose of their own destructive medicine. The most facsinaing thing, I thought, was that there was a cohesive language made just for this production. It wasn't some made up garble they had the actors spout whenever they were in costume, it's a real language with real syntax, grammar, and pronuncuation. A great movie with great messages, and a fantastic experience.

A Delightfully-Disney Dos Days Off

I just saw The Princess and the Frog yesterday, and dear God, WHAT A FREAKING TRIUMPH. Absolutely, totally worth the wait. Fantastic animation, catchy, uplifting music, realistic and loveable characters, and to top it all off (and this here's a biggy) A DECENT PLOT. A decent plot hasn't come out of a Disney movie in a long time (this does not inclue the Pixar films, of course).

I really can't get over what a great movie it was. Tiana was a wonderful protagonist to follow and a great role model for young girls. She takes the princess stereotype and kicks it so far along the curb, it ends up on a different block. Naveen? HYSTERICAL. What I wouldn't give to meet a man like that in real life and be his friend, I don't even know. Perhaps the best part about these two is that they get an even amount of character development, which really makes you feel like they're old friends.

AND UM OH YEAH, RAY AND LOUIS ARE THE BEST HANDS DOWN SORRY OTHER DISNEY ANIMALS BEFORE THIS. >:D RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU WANT MAMA ODIE TO BE YOUR VOODOO-GRANDMAMA!!! *chops off hand and throws it into the freakin' air*

Really, nothing but good things to say about this movie. I can't wait to drag my friend to see it again this weekend, and I do mean drag.

So often do I wish for a friend who is as obsessed with the Disney ladies as I am <3

In other news, my school is giving a showing of The Lion King in Arabic this Friday (since my school offers Arabic as a language). Of course, I'll be there to help out. Watched it over the weekend and it was aweseome!!!

Man, I really suffered through that book. It wasn't that it was bad; I actually enjoyed the story and all the psychological mindf*ck that it contained, but GOD, you've got to really dig through that text to get to the good parts. -_- ;

This was kinda how I felt about another book called The Reluctant Fundamentalist, except in that book, it was lack of text instead of abundance. A great book, but unless you were squinting, it really came off as a waste of time.

Ah well...Next on the book list is Anna Karenina. I'm about 80 pages in and loving it <3

On another note, I'm keeping my eyes open for a new hobby. I'm sick of being bored all the time...any ideas?

Spock speak

A completely-uncalled-for and painfully unfunny thought just occured to me.

Where are stalkers admitted in the hospital?

The ICU.

As of late, I've felt like I've been in a rut. Things seem to be toppling over, and I figured the best way to get out of this strange cycle would be to start fresh in different aspects of life. This, for example, is a new account on one of my favorite sites. Maybe I'll post something interesting/important later, but for now, let's leave it as...

My name is Cymbala. Nice to meet you :D

私はシッバラーです。どうぞよろしくお願いします。:D

меня зовут Симбала. Очень приятно. :D

PS, Clearly, I'm a Japanese/Russian student; I'm much better with the Japanese than the Russian (which I literally just started XD). If you can suggest any help, I certainly won't bite :D

And yes, I do ship Chekov/Sulu
